David P. Jones is husband to Kathi and father of nine year old Kate. As CPA and Columbia MBA, he served for 26 years as international tax and M&A partner at KPMG LLC, an international accounting and consulting firm, before retiring as of September 30, 2010 to focus full-time on ministry. He came to the Lord in 1998 and for about ten years thereafter served in various lay ministry capacities at Times Square Church in NYC. It was there that he first responded to a calling to preach by completing their two year ministry internship program for lay preachers. He then served alongside Rev. Kenneth Adams, founding pastor of Byram Bay Christian Church (BBCC), a non-denominational church in Hopatcong, NJ, that is committed to teaching the Bible, loving people and trusting God. In October 2009 he was ordained and continues to serve BBCC as co-pastor. He is expecting to complete the Master of Divinity program at the Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY, in December 2012. For the past five years, Dave has served as board president of The American Christian School, a 45 year old private pre-K through high school college preparatory school in Morris County, NJ, committed to enabling students to think critically, communicate effectively, and excel academically for Christ. He also serves on the President’s Council of the New York based NYC Relief Bus.
